Baseball Recap: Cuba/Spoon River Valley Takes a Loss

Cuba/Spoon River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carrollton Hawks. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Carrollton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, Cuba/Spoon River Valley and Carrollton will both be playing Hamilton/Warsaw the next time they take the field. The Hawks will head out to face the Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
