Recap: Brooke Bruins vs. Indian Creek Redskins
This season hasn't been kind to the Brooke Bruins, who are still winless after their 13th contest. They were dealt a 50-10 loss at the hands of Indian Creek on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Brooke has suffered since December 11, 2023.
Indian Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabby Taylor led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Scott, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Brooke's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-13. As for Indian Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brooke will take on Linsly at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Indian Creek, they will stay at home for another game and welcome East Liverpool at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th.
