Volleyball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Bald Eagle Area had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

While Bald Eagle Area won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-23.

Bald Eagle Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nora Eppley, who had seven aces. Those seven aces gave Eppley a new career-high.

Eppley wasn't the only good servers: Bald Eagle Area was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Bald Eagle Area's record now sits at 14-2-1. As for Bellwood-Antis, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bald Eagle Area will venture away from home to take on Somerset at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellwood-Antis, they will head out to square off against Central Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
