Preview: Midland vs. Midland Legacy
The Midland Bulldogs are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Midland Legacy Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Midland's offense. They suffered a tough 5-0 loss at the hands of Frenship on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Midland in their matchups with Frenship: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Midland Legacy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their rough 6-0 defeat to San Angelo Central might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Midland Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while San Angelo Central is ranked 25th).
Midland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which is still a better percentage than their 1-7-2 record this season. As for Midland Legacy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-4.
Midland beat Midland Legacy 2-0 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Will Midland repeat their success, or does Midland Legacy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
