Volleyball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Summit Tigers. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at Marisol Sanchez. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and five aces. Sanchez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Summit, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

Coincidentally, Skyline and Summit will both be playing Pomona the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
