Inlet Grove skirted past Somerset College Prep Academy 56-53. Given Inlet Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Somerset College Prep Academy is ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Inlet Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Cajilus , who scored 7 points. Cajilus hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Llyod Rene, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Inlet Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Inlet Grove will head out on the road to face off against Jupiter Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jupiter Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against John Carroll Catholic at 7:00 p.m.
