Basketball Recap: Sheyenne Comes Up Short

Sheyenne lost against Red River back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sheyenne Mustangs took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red River Roughriders. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Sheyenne's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Red River, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheyenne will face off against Shanley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Shanley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Sheyenne likes a good challenge. As for Red River, they will take on West Fargo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Fargo has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight defeats, while Red River will come in with three straight victories.
