             Crescent had won three straight home games  and  Darius Latimer did his part to make it four on Friday. The Crescent Tigers walked away with  a   14-7  victory over the Pendleton Bulldogs  thanks in part to  Latimer, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in September of 2023.
 Latimer was just one part of a punishing run game: Crescent was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 249  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Crescent is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record  this season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 29.4 points per game. As for Pendleton,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-5.
 Crescent will square off against Walhalla at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. That  match will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Latimer and  Landon Robinson. As for Pendleton, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Blue Ridge  at 7:30  p.m.
