Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Leopards vs. Northwest Indians

The Louisville Leopards will challenge the Northwest Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Louisville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.

Louisville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They breezed past Cuyahoga Falls to the tune of 83-51. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

Louisville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Gross out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. Gross is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last eight games he's played. Beau Siegfried was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists.

Louisville was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 23 assists in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Northwest narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Twinsburg 50-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Louisville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. Northwest's record now sits at 18-6.
