Basketball Recap: Pittsfield Takes a Loss

Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Newmarket Mules, falling 61-40. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Mules are ranked 32nd).

Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Newmarket, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

While Pittsfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
