Soccer Game Preview: Lakewood vs. Lansing Catholic

Lakewood hasn't had much luck against Lansing Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will host the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Lakewood has given up an average of 3.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lakewood is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Eaton Rapids on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Greyhounds.

Lansing Catholic pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
