Soccer Game Preview: Jerome vs. Wood River

Jerome hasn't had much luck against Wood River recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jerome took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Mountain Home get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Jensen Cook was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Wood River had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Tigers. Wood River's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Wood River's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Jerome, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-2.
