Volleyball Game Preview: Lone Star Rangers vs. Turner Lions

Lone Star is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Turner a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Lone Star Rangers will welcome the Turner Lions at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Lone Star came up short against Reedy and fell 3-1.

Lone Star started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-11.

Tilah Perez put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 26 digs and six assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Turner came up short against Creekview on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-21, 25-20.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Lone Star, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12.

Lone Star took their victory against Turner in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
