It's playoff time, and Ysleta had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the San Elizario Eagles 18-0 on Thursday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Evan Martinez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Ysleta: the team is 8-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 9-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Licon, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Ysleta hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.

Ysleta's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-13. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for San Elizario, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22.

Ysleta will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
