Wahama waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 34-28 W against the Webster County Highlanders. The win was all the more spectacular given the White Falcons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Highlanders are ranked 66th).

Wahama's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Webster County, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahama and Calhoun will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Webster County, they will host Pocahontas County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
