Basketball Game Preview: Miami Wardogs vs. Oologah Mustangs

The Miami Wardogs are taking a road trip to take on the Oologah Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Miami will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Verdigris, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Miami blew past Verdigris 73-52 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wardogs have posted since December 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Oologah entered their tilt with Vinita on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured a 60-56 W over the Hornets. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Hornets are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miami's record is now 8-10. As for Oologah, their record now sits at 7-2.

Miami couldn't quite finish off Oologah in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 70-67. Can Miami avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
