Lathrop entered their tilt with Johansen on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lathrop's defense made their presence known, laying out Anthony Torres three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ekam Sohal, Daniel Coronado, and Malachi Gonzales, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Despite the loss, Johansen still got an impressive performance from Torres, who threw for 206 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Johansen, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.
