Baseball Recap: Harnett Central Comes Up Short

Harnett Central was the 10-0 winner over North Johnston when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Harnett Central fell 9-4 to North Johnston on Wednesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harnett Central got a good showing from Ryan Stephenson, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Stephenson posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Harnett Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Young, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Harnett Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for North Johnston, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
