Basketball Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by the Aransas Pass Panthers 97-43. The Greyhounds lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 82-54 score last time.

Taft dropped their record down to 15-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Aransas Pass, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-11.

Taft will be playing at home against George West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aransas Pass, they will head out to challenge Odem at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
