Volleyball Recap: Northeast Jones Comes Up Short

Northeast Jones extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 11-10. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stone Tomcats. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tomcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

As for Stone, their record is now 15-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 9th.

Stone was led to victory by Payton Gonzalez and Chloe Tucker. Gonzalez had 27 digs and two aces, while Tucker had 15 kills, 12 digs, and four aces. That's the most kills Tucker has posted since back in August.

Northeast Jones didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Purvis on the 23rd. As for Stone, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Wayne County on the 23rd.
