Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Takes a Loss

Appleton North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Catholic Memorial Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Gracie Hartjes paced Appleton North's offense, picking up four kills. Hartjes got some help from Lydia Koshuta and her eight assists. Kerstyn Ott controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Catholic Memorial, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10.

Appleton North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Divine Savior Holy Angels on the 26th. As for Catholic Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Slinger on the 26th.
