Preview: Chazy Eagles vs. Boquet Valley Griffins
Chazy is 0-8 against Boquet Valley since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Chazy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Boquet Valley Griffins at 6:30 p.m.
Chazy couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a tough blow last Wednesday as they fell 51-33 to Chateaugay.
Meanwhile, Boquet Valley blew past Ticonderoga, posting a 67-39 win on the road. With that victory, Boquet Valley brought their scoring average up to 54 points per game.
Ben Burdo and Jackson Hooper were among the main playmakers for Boquet Valley as the former scored 19 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds and the latter scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Rice, who scored 11 points.
Chazy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Boquet Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Chazy came up short against Boquet Valley in their previous matchup back in January, falling 42-31. Can Chazy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
