Recap: Hardee Wildcats vs. Mulberry Panthers

The Hardee Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mulberry. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

When it comes to explaining why Hardee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tedrick Simon. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cris Cook, who scored eight points.

Hardee has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Mulberry, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hardee will take on Oasis Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mulberry, they will be playing at home against Bartow at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bartow presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mulberry in Florida (Bartow is ranked 137th, while Mulberry is ranked 485th).
