Basketball Recap: Mason Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Mason Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Babcock Trailblazers on the road by a 64-49 margin. The Paladins lost against the Trailblazers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-21 score last time.

Leading Babcock to victory were Jameson Habing and Finn Habing. Jameson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Finn posted 15 points along with eight assists and seven boards. Jameson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Henley, who had seven points.

Mason Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Babcock, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-9.

Mason Classical Academy has already played their next game (against The Village School of Naples), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Babcock will be taking part in a tournament against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
