Basketball Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Milton Panthers        
        
		
             Tate is 1-6 against Milton since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Tate Aggies will take on the Milton Panthers at 6:45  p.m. Tate will be strutting in after a  victory while Milton will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Having struggled with seven  losses in a row dating back to last season, Tate finally turned things around against Aletheia Christian Academy  on Friday. They breezed by the Lions to the tune of  49-21. The  matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Aggies had established  a  23 point advantage.
 Tate relied on the efforts of   Sam Williams, who  scored 14 points, and   Taylor Malone, who  posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave  Malone a new career-high in  threes (two).  Brelynn Morris was another key player,  earning eight points.
 Meanwhile, Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  40-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pace.
 Milton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Tate, their win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-1.
 Tate was dealt a bruising  51-16 defeat at the hands of Milton when the teams last played  back in February of 2022. Can Tate avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
