Soccer Game Preview: Peachtree Ridge vs. Decatur

The Peachtree Ridge Lions will square off against the Decatur Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Peachtree Ridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Peachtree Ridge's offense. They lost 8-0 to Brookwood on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Broncos are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Decatur, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Alpharetta with a sharp 4-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Peachtree Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
