Softball Recap: North Reading Comes Up Short

North Reading was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-6 to the Gloucester Fishermen. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fishermen earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

North Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Gloucester, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, North Reading will venture away from home to take on Lynnfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gloucester, they will face off against Swampscott at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
