Football Recap: Fox Chapel Takes a Loss

Fox Chapel fell victim to Plum and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Mustangs. The Foxes haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Joey Geller threw for 27 yards on two of six attempts.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Cj Hart and Elijah Jackson. Hart rushed for 103 yards and two TDs on only nine carries while Jackson rushed for 171 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Those 171 rushing yards gave Jackson a new career-high. Niko Signor got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Fox Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Plum, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Fox Chapel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 35-14 defeat against Shaler Area on the 17th. As for Plum, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 29-12 victory against Kiski Area on the 17th.
