Football Recap: Fox Chapel Takes a Loss

Fox Chapel extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They took a blow against the Plum Mustangs, falling 35-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Foxes were not able to get on the board.

As for Plum, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 13-point performance the contest before.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Cj Hart and Elijah Jackson. Hart rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries while Jackson rushed for 171 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Jackson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Niko Signor got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fox Chapel will welcome Shaler Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kiski Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
