Basketball Recap: Wilson Hall Takes a Loss

Wilson Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-26 loss at the hands of the John Paul II Golden Warrriors. While losing is never fun, the Barons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Golden Warrriors are ranked 39th).

John Paul II was led to victory by Lauren Majorkiewicz and Lily Termini. Majorkiewicz posted 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Termini went 6 of 13 en route to 13 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Majorkiewicz continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Trott, who had eight points and seven rebounds.

Wilson Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for John Paul II, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Wilson Hall will host Laurence Manning Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for John Paul II, they will head out to take on Patrick Henry Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
