Softball Game Preview: United Lions vs. Homer-Center Wildcats

The United Lions will square off against the Homer-Center Wildcats at 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

United is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Marion Center, falling 21-0.

Meanwhile, Homer-Center unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Cambria Heights by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday.

Homer-Center saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bekah Marshall, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

United couldn't quite get it done against Homer-Center in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can United avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
