Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Cadets vs. Trumbull Eagles

St. Joseph lost against Trumbull back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cadets lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Cadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

St. Joseph took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-12.

Several Cadets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mary DeCaro, who had 12 digs. Ana Joksovic was another key player, getting seven digs.

Trumbull found their leader in sophomore Bea Carley, who had six aces and one assist. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Carley.

St. Joseph now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Trumbull, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
