Volleyball Recap: Thompson Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Thompson Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Timnath Cubs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Thompson Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Timnath between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-14.

Brier Jensen paced Thompson Valley's offense, picking up 16 kills. Jensen got some help from Dany Alps and her 22 assists. Penny Gilbert controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Thompson Valley's record is now 6-4. As for Timnath, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Looking ahead, Thompson Valley will welcome Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timnath, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Roosevelt on the 27th.
