Baseball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mckinney Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coram Deo Academy). They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Coram Deo Academy got a massive performance out of Lucas Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Smith has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Grant Edens, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Coram Deo Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-16-1. As for McKinney Christian Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-5.

Looking ahead, Coram Deo Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. McKinney Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
