 The Leake Central Gators  will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against the Noxapater Tigers at 6:30  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Last Wednesday, Leake Central suffered a  tough 18-3 defeat at the hands of Winona. That's two games in a row now that Leake Central has lost by  exactly 15  runs.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  match, but Noxapater had to settle for  an  8-7 loss against Nanih Waiya on Thursday. Noxapater has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Jodie Wilkes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aliyah McCool, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Leake Central dropped their record down to 0-13 with that  defeat, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Noxapater, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
 Leake Central suffered a grim  20-3 defeat to Noxapater  in their previous meeting  back in February. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Noxapater's  Morgan Woods, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Now that Leake Central knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
