Football Recap: Tesoro's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Tesoro never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They snuck past the Dana Hills Dolphins with a 6-0 win. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Dolphins are ranked 379th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chloe Gillis threw for 156 yards and one TD. Jenna Tuttle was her top target, picking up 73 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for Tesoro and bumps their season record up to 11-4. As for Dana Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tesoro will square off against rival San Clemente at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Titans 9.6, the Tritons 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dana Hills is set to face off against their familiar foe Capistrano Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
