Football Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott lost against Dixie Heights back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles were beaten by the Colonels 62-19. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Scott still got an impressive performance from Trey Cook, who rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 190 yards and a pair of TDs.

This is the second loss in a row for Scott and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Dixie Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Scott will challenge Clay County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dixie Heights, they will take on Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
