Volleyball Recap: Laney Comes Up Short

Laney lost against D.H. Conley back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buccaneers lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Elisabeth (Grace) Johnson paced Laney's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson got some help from Abigail (Abbey) Hendren and her ten assists. Hendren was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Laney's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for D.H. Conley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Laney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Hoggard on the 2nd. As for D.H. Conley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against South Central on the 30th.
