McFarland waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Kennedy Thunderbirds out 2-1. The Cougars' winning goal came courtesy of Jorge Hernandez.

McFarland used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Kennedy. And. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Hernandez scored a goal, while he put up one assist.

McFarland pushed their record up to 6-4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three games. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the McFarland duke it out with the Delano at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to square off against Shafter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
