The Freeport Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Chipley Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Freeport will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Fort Walton Beach on Thursday. Freeport's pitchers stepped up to hand Fort Walton Beach a 10-0 shutout. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chipley's offense. They came up short against Cottondale on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.
Freeport's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs over those games. As for Chipley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
