Union Grove Christian came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Tabernacle Christian Conquerors as they made off with a 64-42 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Conquerors are ranked 620th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union Grove Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colin Wykes led the charge by going 10 for 16 on his way to 28 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Miller, who posted 17 points and three steals.

Union Grove Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game.
