Basketball Recap: Tyrus Reel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Poinsett County over Riverside

East Poinsett County lost against Riverside back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Poinsett County Warriors fell 65-54 to the Riverside Rebels.

East Poinsett County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyrus Reel, who went 11 for 26 on his way to 27 points. With that strong performance, Reel is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Blagg, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

East Poinsett County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.

East Poinsett County will welcome Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Poinsett County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Riverside, they will take on Piggott at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
