Recap: Quantico Warriors vs. St. Michael the Archangel Warriors
The Quantico Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 73-15 defeat at the hands of St. Michael the Archangel. The loss was just more heartbreak for Quantico, who fell 23-20 when the teams last met back in December of 2022.
Quantico's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liliana Ramos, who scored six points.
St. Michael the Archangel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anjalia Bryant out in front who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals. The game was Bryant 's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaye Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 20 rebounds.
Quantico bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Quantico will head out on the road to face off against Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fredericksburg V at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
