Basketball Recap: Mountain Valley Comes Up Short

Mountain Valley lost against Lincoln Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mountain Valley Falcons were dealt a 56-27 loss at the hands of the Lincoln Academy Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Eagles are ranked 33rd).

Mountain Valley's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lincoln Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.

Mountain Valley will square off against Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln Academy, they will challenge Belfast at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
