Soccer Recap: Monticello Find Success

While Monticello's win against Liberty Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Monticello had just enough and edged out Liberty Christian 1-0 on Thursday. Monticello's winning goal came courtesy of Casper Koch.

Monticello now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Liberty Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Waynesboro on the 25th. As for Liberty Christian, they will host Amherst County at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. The match will give Liberty Christian their first taste of in-conference action this season.
