Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Lions vs. Cristo Rey Fort Worth Lions

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Faustina Academy, the Heritage Christian Academy Lions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Cristo Rey Fort Worth 41-17. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for Heritage Christian Academy this season.

Heritage Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addelynn Reid led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Sara Spangler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

The win got Heritage Christian Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Cristo Rey Fort Worth, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will take on the Angels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burton Adventist Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Cristo Rey Fort Worth, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. St. Paul's Prep is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
