Volleyball Recap: Altavista Comes Up Short

Altavista lost against Appomattox County back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Colonels lost 3-0 to the Raiders. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Altavista was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Appomattox County's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8, 25-15.

Altavista's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Appomattox County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Altavista will be playing at home against Buckingham at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Appomattox County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on the 18th.
