Football Recap: Southridge Comes Up Short

Southridge fell victim to Palmetto and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 20-0 to the Panthers. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ava Alvarez produced another solid effort throwing for 163 yards and three touchdowns for Palmetto. Kayla Luzzo-Ubeto was in the mix too, providing the Panthers with two scores.

Southridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Palmetto, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Southridge will challenge Sports Leadership & Management at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 8.6, Sports Leadership & Management 4.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Palmetto, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-6 victory against Ferguson on the 4th.
