Baseball Recap: Alvarado Comes Up Short

Alvarado and Panther Creek squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Alvarado had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Indians couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Alvarado's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10. As for Panther Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9-4 record this season.

While Alvarado had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
