            Baseball Recap: Midd-West Mustangs vs. Lewisburg Green Dragons        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Midd-West). They were the clear victors by  a  17-4 margin over the Lewisburg Green Dragons on Wednesday. With that  victory, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 7  runs per game.

 Kaden Walter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Midd-West is 3-1 when  Walter allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Walter was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  he  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Braxton Smith was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in May of 2024.  Colton Aumiller was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 Midd-West was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .519. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  games.
Midd-West's win  ended  a  five-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-5. As for Lewisburg, they dropped their record down to 3-6-1 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
