Fairmont managed to keep up with Perrysburg until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Firebirds came up short against the Yellow Jackets, falling 4-0. Fairmont's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Fairmont's loss dropped their record down to 12-3-1. As for Perrysburg, they pushed their record up to 12-1-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Fairmont and Perrysburg should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Firebirds will challenge Loveland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (16 vs. 62).
